I used to be a project manager doing fly-in/fly-out in the Pilbara desert of Australia. I got fed up with all the bullshit, quit my 'big' job, sold everything and started travelling with the kids in July 2014.

My kids, Cassandra (10) and Jack (8) are very well behaved and easy going. They have enjoyed our travelling and homeschooling. We backpacked around for 13 months, lived in Singapore for a few months and are now back in Canada to finally settle.

I believe my kids and I have lots to offer to follow coughsurfers with all our travel and homeschooling experience. We now live in a beautiful and touristic area that deserve a stop from the main city (Bromont is about 1h away from Montreal).

I love meeting new people and miss travelling so hosting is a different way to feel like I travel a little.

I am a little bit like a kid and am interested in all sorts of things. It is quite hard for me to pin-point.

However, we enjoy the outdoor very much, sports, reading and eating...

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

We don't watch much TV and are definitively not informed about the mainstream stuff. A good movie is nice once a while though.

We will read anything that falls in our hands! My kindle has 500 books given from a friend and I just started reading them in alphabetic order...

As for music, I enjoy rock/alternative from the 90's, rock from the 70's my dad used to play in the house all the time, etc. I don't know anything about the latest gigs.

The sound of guitar and drum is always good to my hears and kids love dancing so we enjoy live music no matter what it is.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One day, I found myself in Mendoza, Argentina and found a panflet about the Aconcagua in the hostel I was staying at.

I wrote a quick email to my family, went to the grocery store with my backpack, bought gloves and a hat and proceeded to climb by myself without mules, a guide or the proper permit for that matter.

I trekked for almost 3 weeks. The higher I was getting the harder it got to avoid checking points... Finally I got caught and had to turn around at the last camp which was only 300m away from the summit.

Another time, I completely shaved my very long hair and kept it that way for an entire year.

From a work perspective, at the age of 25, I was already a project leader, looking for diamonds in the middle of nowhere of the Canadian Arctic, bossing around rude-rough old dudes where most of the time I was the youngest and single women miles around...

I can definitively help and give tips about travelling on the cheap or with children in tow. If you are planning a big move, I can give you tips too as I have moved many times in my life.
