Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot and I have about 80-90 GB music ranging from JS Bach to Gorillaz, current list in winamp includes Thievery Corp., U2, De-Phazz, Paris Combo, DJ Vadim, Madonna, Rose, Maria Peszek, Felix Mendelssohn, Dido, Gotan Project, Moby, Vaya Con Dios, A R Rahman, Mélanie Pain, Portishead, Gorillaz, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Massive Attack.

The last three books I've read were
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini (Thanks, Chyi! :))
The Wind-up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
The Enchantress of Florence by Salman Rushdie
and I enjoyed all three very very much (the best one was the Wind-up Bird, though).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

OK, I tell you a story, when I was a little kid I was crazy about pets but my family lived in a small apartment back then and we didn't have any pets, though from time to time I took a cat or puppy or a tree-frog home, they always had to be removed from the flat. So my parents knew how much I liked pets/animals.. At one summer weekend - I guess I was about seven - my family went for a day out to a small river and omg there were loads of frogs, I was chasing and collecting them in a large jar the whole day (with water and stuff, they were treated well) and I had fun. Of course when the time to go home arrived in the evening I had to release them. My parents knew I was a wayward kid and they wanted to make sure I let all the frogs back to the river. They took everything from me eg. googles, snorkel etc. which could have been used as a means of transportation of hidden frogs, you can imagine it was a kinda funny war btw me and my parents. My last and only chance was to put one little frog in swimming suit :) and yes I managed to outsmart my parents, took one frog home - and I was so proud of myself and I was also laughing my head off (it was just the humor of the situation and not the frog in my swimming suit) that I told them, I just couldn't help :) sure they took the frog from me. But next spring my family adopted a dog at last, and I guess the frog incident had it's share making them finally cave in. A couple of years later we moved to a big house with a garden and we have dogs and cats ever since.

Ayeah, and once I saved the life of a friend.
