Hi my name is Gabriel and I am from Switzerland.

I studied business and now work in IT. I am between two Jobs so I took the opportunity to travel for a few weeks.

Whenever I get the chance I like to visit and explore new places around the world. I am not on couchsurfer to get free accommodation but to get in touch with locals when I am abroad. It is fun to hang out with other travellers, but I always want to see and hear what locals think and do.

I am always up for adventures or a good party.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's always fun to make new friends, meet locals and exerience their culture.
I have participated in an international high school student exchange a while back and always like to visit my old international friends from back then. This is how i learned to appreciate the experience of visiting a foreign country or city together with a local. I feel that couchsurfing offers that exact experience for every place!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played Kataw in a remote village along the Mekong in Laos with locals, had a beer with a tuktuk drivers in Siem Reap at 4 in the morning, tasted the durian fruit with my Thai friend (he made me try - not a very pleasant experience actually^^), skeed the Rockies in Schweitzer Ski Resort in Idaho, played hockey in Canada (and I am still alive), cooked Paella at paella festival in Getxo, Basque Country, swam with wild dolphins in Hawaii, drank Sake with Japanese friends,...
