I'm in the city of Petrolina that is a Brazilian municipality in the interior of the state of Pernambuco, in the Northeast region of the country. It is located in the Microregion of Petrolina and in the Meso-region of São Francisco Pernambucano, 712 km west of Recife, state capital. It has a territorial extension of 4 561,872 km², with 244.8 km² in urban perimeter and the remaining 4,317,072 km², integrating The countryside. According to data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, the IBGE, in 2016 its population was estimated at 337,683 inhabitants, being the fifth largest municipality in Pernambuco and the second in the interior of Pernambuco, behind only Caruaru. The municipality is part of the Integrated Administrative Region of the Polo Petrolina and Juazeiro. The native and predominant vegetation of the municipality is the caatinga, which is composed of hyperxerophilic species, with the strong presence of shrubs with twisted branches and deep roots. The most common species are cacti, caroá, aroeira, angico, juazeiro, mandacaru and xique-xique. Contrary to many people's beliefs, the fauna of the caatinga is quite rich, having hundreds of species living in this biome, such as: caterpillar deer, prey, possum, cururu toad, agouti, armadillo, blue macaw, white wing , White-tufted pigeon, among others.
I want to learn a little about a culture from other countries and even from other people, also wanting to share about Brazilian culture and even Pernambucana, which is one of the richest and most diversified cultures of the country, its base is Luso-Brazilian, with African influences , Amerindian, Jewish and Dutch, we have several musical genres such as Maracatu de Baque Virado, Maracatu de Baque Solto, Frevo which is characterized by the fast pace and steps that recall the capoeira where UNESCO unanimously approved by the voters, Frevo was Elected an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
