Hey! I'm Gabriel – curious, open-hearted, and always looking for new perspectives. I love being on the move, meeting people, sharing experiences, and learning not just about the world, but also about myself along the way.
My journey has taken me through different countries – often with a backpack, through WWOOF or Couchsurfing, and I really enjoy being close to rural life. I I have a bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics because I love questioning how the world works – and at the same time, I'm always seeking real connection in everyday life: through cooking together, making music, deep conversations, or circus training.

I'm a passionate (hobby) circus artist – especially at the trapeze or upside down in a handstand. I love sharing tips and moving creatively with others. I also sing a lot, play a bit of guitar and piano – and if there's a piano nearby, you can be sure I’ll try it out!
I look forward to open encounters and small adventures along the way!

I'm on Couchsurfing because, for me, traveling is not just about changing places – it's about meeting people. I love sharing moments, cooking together, exchanging stories, laughing, maybe making some music – simply experiencing a bit of everyday life with others.
Even though I can't reliably host at the moment, I still want to give something back: through presence, conversation, and contributing to whatever shared moments arise.

I listen to all sorts of music depending on my mood, but if I had to choose a band, it would be the German a cappella group Wise Guys (who have music to suit every mood).
I also enjoy making music myself: mostly singing, sometimes jamming with a guitar or piano, often just improvising whatever comes.
Live music, street musicians, spontaneous kitchen concerts – I’m always in for that!

I don’t really have any favourite books – but I do love reading. When I want to relax and escape to other worlds, I usually immerse myself in fantasy novels. I often listen to these as well, provided they’re read aloud by a good narrator. (as, for example, the *Wheel of Time* books, which are brilliantly narrated by Rosamund Pike).
At the same time, I love reading non-fiction – especially about philosophy, society, politics, or personal development. For me, books are a way to discover new perspectives and get inspired.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A special experience was my semester abroad in Bilbao, where I spent a lot of time with local circus artists (probably more than I spent on university work). We trained together almost every day – on the trapeze, on the ground, in the air – challenging, supporting, and celebrating each other.
I performed a piece I had composed myself at a concert (on the piano)
I spent six months at a kung fu school in Henan, China.
I built a greenhouse (geodesic dome) myself

我可以与沙发主分享些什么

I bring good vibes, curiosity, and an open heart. I'm always happy to help around the house – whether it’s cooking, doing the dishes, small repairs, or whatever needs to be done. I also enjoy working in the garden – being outdoors and getting my hands dirty is something I love.
I’m passionate about baking bread (especially sourdough!) and I’m happy to share it.
If you're up for it, I also enjoy sharing some of my other passions: a quick handstand tip, a song together, a spontaneous piano concert, or a deep conversation about life, the universe, and everything.
I believe hospitality is not a one-way street – and even if I’m "just" a guest, I always try to leave something behind: a smile, a helping hand, or simply a good feeling.
