Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because two people I hold in the highest regard have traveled far and wide using this medium and thus swear by it. To date, I've tended to "unplug" whilst traveling. This time out, I'm just looking forward to enjoying some extended stays in order to soak up some culture without any bother of "tourism".
