About Me

CURRENT MISSION

If I meet someone without a smile, I'll give them mine.

ABOUT ME

I am an affable and even-tempered person who loves his hometown Baden and the nearby Zurich. I've grown up here and am politically active as well.

Yet, I love to travel. Exploring the world is part of my life. I believe that we get a bit more mature on every new voyage and that travelling to foreign lands helps me to get to know myself.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a humanist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Me as a guest:
I couchsurfed in Canada in 2019, in Sicily in 2013 and in the UK in 2012. Those stays were eventful and unforgettable. I am looking forward to the next trip! Hopefully I will be able to give something back as a host one day.

Me as a host:
At home I am often very busy with work. Nevertheless, guests shouldn't hesitate to ask me for accomodation, an unhurried tea time or a guided tour through Baden.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In May 2019 I had an impeccable accommodation kn Halifax (CAN). The host taught me a lot about icebreaker ships - adventurous!

In February 2013 I couchsurfed in Sicily (IT). The impression I got was that few Italians replied to my couch requests. But the one with whom I was allowed to stay was an excellent host.

Couchsurfing worked very well in Great Britain in February 2012. All of the hosts answered to me and many of them accepted my couch request. I did my first couchsurfing journey and enjoyed a gorgeous time in southern England and Wales.

In August 2011 I intended to couchsurf for the first time across Italy. Unfortunately I could never put that plan into reality, because hardly any of the 22 hosts to whom I wrote replied to my couch request.
