About Me

Curious about everything, looking for stories to tell and listen to, personal growth and a good laugh

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy discovering hidden treasures in well-known cities, visit lesser known places, but mostly meet new people and live experiences worth remembering (and repeating!). Discovering a city through the eyes of locals always makes the best of times and gives a good cultural insight. I also love my city and everything it has to offer and like getting people to love it as much as I do. I enjoy sharing travel stories and perspectives. Travellers are a special group of people that I highly value as friends.

Interests

Outside of my work, and my interest in health issues, I love hiking, rock climbing (only indoors for now), going to microbreweries, anything outdoors, and attending events. I also spend some of my free time writing about personal experiences, and the rest of it pretending I am learning a new language or how to play an instrument (which I will do, eventually). The social and natural worlds both interest me immensely. I enjoy sightseeing (even in my city), learning (on the verge of being a diploma collector), art in most of its forms, socializing, reading the newspaper, traveling of course, and everything that has to do with politics. Hence why I am a huge fan of photojournalism, since it is basically everything I just mentioned combined into one thing.

Music, Movies, and Books

To name a few of each of these, on a regular day, you'll find me listening mostly to Woodkid or Chet Faker. While I don't watch many movies, somewhere in my top 3 stands Blade Runner. Books wise, my favourite book is The Unbearable Lightness of Being. I also enjoy most science fiction, and slow-paced multidimensional stories, as well as a few French and French-Canadian authors I'd be please to talk about!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I do not know if I can qualify one thing I did as especially amazing, I would rather say I had a few streaks of amazing events.
If I was to say something, I wrote a 125-pages travel journal during my 2-months backpacking trip through Europe in 2015. I am almost done typing it up and editing it, and I still love to read it sometimes. You have to be your best public apparently, and I find myself very funny in it. It always cheers me up.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I wish I could say I am an amazing cook, but to be honest, I am pretty average. However, I am a great storyteller and I love discussing. I'd be more than happy to talk about everything and anything, share my quirky personality and get to know yours or go out on any activity you may have in mind. I can also tell you why Montreal is a great city and how Canadians don't always say they are sorry. If you're not the chatty type, there goes my best asset, but I am also tidy and quiet when the situation requires it, so we could get along just fine!
