About Me
I have been slowly learning Italian for the past year. I have always wanted to learn mainly because I am partially Italian. My skills are weak but I welcome the challenge and any quiz you would like to give me!!
My favorite quote is by Leonard Nimoy:
“A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP.”
I am a Special Effects artist also working in amusment park production and scenic art.
I have two jobs, I like to work hard and play hard.
I plan to start a company for Special Effects while eventually adding on the various types of production I will learn though the years.
I hope one day to win an Oscar for my Special Effects Make Up.
One day I wish to not only travel frequently but also live to work and not work to live.
My personal Instagram is: gabithagray
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am couchsurfing because I want to get to know various kinds of people. I also want to experience different cultures throughout the world while also seeing what its like to live like a native.
Interests
Since I am an artist I want to see other works people have created. This is a large world and the things people can create with the most seemingly random items is incredible to me.
I am writing my first book with the intentions of turning it into a film so I can do the Special Effects Make Up. The genre will be syfy fantasy.
I am a huge movie and TV lover. My favorite movies make me question what I know to be true about my reality. Star Trek, both TV and film give me something that I hope Humanity reaches one day.
I love all types of music. Violins are my favorite instrument. When I was in high school I was apart of the Marching Band. I spent my time in the percussion section playing cymbals, tire irons, wind chimes, chimes, vibraphone, and mainly the Marimba.
I went to college for a degree in Special Effects. Since I grew up loving sculpture I felt that SFX was a great way for my art to live forever in film. I feel as though captivating movies never fade, they keep getting passed down through the years no matter when they were created. One of the best examples of that is The Wizard of Oz, that movie is turning 80 this year.
