About Me

Hello Worldwide Family and Friends,

I'm a nature lovin', star gazin', magic makin', art creatin', book-a-holic and personal chef

I love meeting new people and hearing their stories, especially learning about their culture and traditions, and their experiences through life. I love to laugh, though I'm not so much of a comedian... but i'll support your efforts 100% :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think its an incredible way to connect with people and open up new experiences with people you would never meet otherwise.

Interests

Everything nature related. I'm super passionate about plants and natural phenomena, hiking, biking. Forest bathing and plant study help me connect with my centre. Reading books and people watching! Making random strangers smile :D

I like to learn a new thing everyday, my most recent endeavour was to learn to fart with my armpits :) That was an incredibly hilarious day!

I also love doing art: drawing, henna, singing, dance! One of my favourite ways of expression is to make copper wire-wrapped jewlery with crystals. The creations always take on the energy of the space and seem to take on a life of their own. It is really fascinating to watch :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a progressive rock kind of gal. Favorites of all times are Pink Floyd, The Who, Rush, Tom Petty, Neil Young, The Grateful Dead.

Though I find appreciation in all forms of music. Anything that can take me on an emotional journey delights me!

I dont watch alot of movies (with the exception of documentaries), which I make up for with my undying love affair with books.

I really enjoy autobiographical books- as a student of psychology- human behaviour facinates me... I love people! I also read alot of books on plant medicines and natural healing... it's one of my hobbies to learn new things.

A few books which have really changed how I view the world are:
Ishmael by Daniel Quinn
Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl
Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite travel experiences was hiking up Mount Sorrow in Northern Australia. It is a lush, magical rainforest, mostly untouched by humans with rarely a person in sight. My travel companion and I hiked a whole grueling day to the top, and set up camp on the only flat spot we could find... a very rocky patch.

We woke up for the sunrise, climbed to the top of the highest boulder we could see. From on top of the boulder, we were higher than the crest of the mountain and could see a full 360 degrees, we were on top of the world. Watching the sun rise on the ocean... it was hard to distinguish the difference between sea and sky. We were just there, in-between worlds.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share with you a lot about the healing properties of plants, and am always enthusiastic to exchange ideas and learn from eachother. I love to cook and would thoroughly enjoy sharing one of my experiments with you!
