ABOUT ME

My name is Gabrielle Wiltse. I was born and raised in Red Deer, Alberta, and am just starting to realize it's a big, big world with so many places to see and people to meet! After a year of going to Red Deer College, I moved to Banff, AB, for a year and met so many people from all over the world and had a blast. I am a young, enthusiastic, friendly woman and am super easygoing. I like to have fun, but I also like to take it easy sometimes. I grew up playing soccer, and I enjoy the outdoors, like hiking, running, skiing, camping, quadding, and whatever else gets me outside. I would like to go back to University someday, but for now I have the travel bug and have to figure out what area I want to specialize in before I go back. I am very reliable and trustworthy, and I accept everybody as they are. I also enjoy reading and, of course, music. I'm pretty laid back, and if you want to know more about me just ask!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live in the moment as much as I can, because each moment is important. Don't worry about the future or stew on the past, because all we ever have is this present moment. I also try to live my life by a few special quotes:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just recently I couchsurfed my way from Red Deer, through Banff, Revelstoke, Kelowna, and to Vancouver with a good friend of mine. I have also couch surfed in Montreal for four days. I hadn't experienced much couchsurfing before, but I totally loved the new adventures it brought! Everybody was so welcoming, and I felt right at home!

Interests

Hiking, camping, skiing, running, soccer, reading, quadding, anything outdoors, painting/drawing, music, going out, dancing, languages, and travelling of course!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost any type of music, but one thing I can't do is horror movies! Other than that, I'm not fussy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On July 4th, 2013, I jumped out of a perfectly functioning plane and landed safely on the ground... with the help of a parachute and being strapped to a certified skydiver :)
