Sobre mí

I've heard I am a really shy guy, and I can only agree. Despite being a brazilian, I am reserved and tend to mind my own business, but once you give me a push (or some beers) I can be a really pleasant company (I hope).

I really don't know what else I should say here. It's 2am here and I'm all out of inspiration. I also have a test tomorrow and I didn't study... Yeah, like you've never done that. Of course you have.

I love music! Yes, and movies! If you're ok with a guy who really enjoys talking about music bands, albums, movies, and the mysteries of life itself, search no more. I would also love to hear you favorite albums and see your favorite filmes, and then discuss them if you want.

I think that's about it tho.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

So, I'm giving couchsurfing a try, actually. I'm doing an exchange in France and would love to know more of Europe. Being a student, I obviously have no money. But the lack of money isn't the sole reason I'm here, oh no!

What better way to know Europe (and the woooorld) than being in touch with the very people who live there?

So, I'm giving this a shot. You can give it a shot too and host me if you want. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Música, películas y libros

My 5 favorite albums in no order whatsoever are:
- Origin of Symmetry, Muse, 2001
- The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me, Brand New, 2006
- ...Like Clockwork, 2013, Queens of the Stone Age
- OK Computer, 1997, Radiohead
- Hisingen Blues, 2011, Graveyard

Special shout out to "A deeper understanding" by War on Drugs, which came out this year and (as I'm typing this) am on my 10th consecutive listen (why so good).

What? Movies too? I got you covered, here are 5:
- Braveheart, 1995
- Nightcrawler, 2014
- Manchester by the Sea, 2016
- The eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, 2004
- Whiplash, 2014 (insert 'not quite my tempo joke here')

Books?? I don't read books, books are for nerds!
I'm kidding, but this text is quite long already.

(Lord of the rings is my drug, tho)

Algo increíble que he hecho

This is a quite recent one.

After moving from Brazil to France, into an university dorm (reason why I sadly can't host), and realizing the place was a bit lifeless, I went out to rent some artwork. Here in France you can rent art, like photographies in frames and etc, which is *unheard of* in Brazil. So I enter the artothèque happy as a kid in Christmas. I spend two hours looking for a nice photo and when I'm finally finished, I print home to hang them.

But we're not allowed to put holes or nail in the walls, so I bought there little hooks you *glue* to the wall. Got them glues two day earlier so I'm ready to hang the frames. One of them is right by my bed, just above my pillow (I saw no harm, being the genius I am, and put the heaviest there). So I hang the pictures and am ready to sleep.

Now, I have really vivid dreams and tend to move while sleeping. Not much like a sleepwalker, just moving arms and mumbling a lot. This specific time I dreamed I was surfing, holding those ropes behind a jetski (never surfed before). In the dream, I let go of the rope thing and tried desperately to catch it back. As I but both hands open trying to grab it, I do the same thing outside the dream. As soon as I do, I hear this loud noise and feel a thud in my hands, which wakes me up in a jump. I get up from the bed real quick, and realize I'm holding the frame I hung a couple hours before. As my dorm mate knock on my door to see if all is well, I realize what happened. The frame unglued because it was too heavy, and it was high enough that it flipped while falling (since it was already pending forward because the hook was too big) and fell IN MY HANDS.

And there I was. Saved myself from paying for the damages to the frame and, maybe, a serious head injury, all while sleeping.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I mean, can we share life stories? Because that's basically all I've got.
Oh I can totally teach you some portuguese and english. Even some french!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I really don't know. I don't have that many abilities. Can I play you a song on a guitar? Probably not. On a piano? Hah, not really. Can I sketch you on profile? Only if you like abstract art, if you know what I mean (scribbles).

But wait Gabriel! What about cooking??
HAH... I mean, it's your funeral man.

Just kidding, I'm not that bad, just regular 'college student living on his own'-level cooking.

But I CAN offer you some talking! I can teach you thing about Brazil, I can share music and movie opinions with you! In general, just be a good pal =D
