ABOUT ME

Welcome to The Van Jones Art Museum...I'm Gabriel Van Jones, Artist/Curator, Singer/Songwriter/poet/performer/producer/philosopher/party animal/globe rockin star/student and lover of life, and more and I will be your host if you are visiting the museum...UPDATE! On March 25th 2015, while I was visiting my mother in Boston for her birthday, The Van Jones Art Museum (as it was from 2002 till that date) burnt down to the ground, art collection, music instruments/studio,clothing, library and all... If you had the pleasure of surfing with us and consider yourself fortunate and would like to help us rebuild, feel free to donate here http://www.dreamordonate.nl/1576-rebuilding-the-van-jones-mus?fb_action_ids=10152789577135679&fb_action_types=og.comments
Thank You
We will be up and running again soon, like a Phoenix!
May I remind you that if you are surfing with me you will be surfing at The Van Jones Art Museum a unique and inspiring cultural(perhaps even cosmic) experience in it's own right so if you hope to surf here you should show some interest in this or I will probably ignore your request. Amsterdam is full of famous museums with much to offer to tourists...here at The VJAM we cater more to the artists and the muses themselves, though brave well informed and interested tourists are welcome. I believe The VJAM is the only museum in Amsterdam where it is possible to couchsurf... we do expect a suggested minimum donation of 10euro (p.p.) for admission to the museum if you are staying more than an hour,,,(if you are staying for a week, we'll be expecting a bit more)Coffee tea etc, shower, fireside entertainment, music, and more are included for free with your couch. Come enjoy and support the arts.

PHILOSOPHY

Be Cause

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf and when I'm traveling and I maintain a space in Amsterdam where you may surf your couch (as well as be culturally broadened)...or camp...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfing the hometown now here in Amsterdam for good company, greater comfort, and social kicks...As a surfer...I get around from town to town...meeting new people and surfing there couches. The truth is, I Rock the couch! It's great for dreaming. I find that I have great dreams on other peoples couches, especially newlymets. People often don't want me to leave (I think they dream better to)but I always do...eventually... but really...I've got to go..."so many couches so little time"
As a host I just love to share the creative cultural experience that is my life in the Amsterdam underground and at The Van Jones Art Museum
