ABOUT ME
Hey there and welcome!
I'm Gabriel and I live in São Paulo, Brazil!
I like to think I'm a pretty interesting person to get to know! I have a tendency to come across as a very serious person, but that's really just on the outside. Once people get to know me better, I can be pretty funny and way more open about myself.
I love talking about all sorts of different things, and specially when one subject leads to another, that leads to another. In fact, I'm a master on that, I believe.
Also, ever since 2011, me and my boyfriend started a project called Cabine Literária (Literary Cabin, in a crude translation) which basically consists of a YouTube channel where we review and talk about books! It has gotten quite big and it's an amazing thing to share knowledge to other people. :)
This year we started a new project called Gayrotos, where we talk more about ourselves as a gay couple in a vlog style, in hopes of helping people accepting themselves and giving tips to a healthy relationship.
You can see them here (though we only speak Portuguese, and still haven't gotten to add subtitles lol):

At any rate, I'm open to meet all sorts of new people. That's my main goal here on Coach Surfing! So, come and see!
PHILOSOPHY
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." (Margaret Mead)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
On Oct/2010 I had my first CS experience. I was hosted in Belo Horizonte, a very nice city here in Brazil. It was awesome.
But, aside from that, mainly hosting and surfing, which I guess are the basic ways to participate. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I travel a lot here, mainly by myself, 'cause I love the brazilian landscape and all it's different cultures. So I met a lot of nice people throught the internet and, when the travel time was right, surfed to their place! And vice-versa!
As for CS experience, I went to Belo Horizonte and was hosted by someone I met here. It was pretty rad!
I was also hosted by an awesome couple in Buenos Aires and it was an amazing experience, to be able to get to know the city with people who are already familiar to it. I feel like they also gain a lot by seeing how other people relate to that.
I never actually hosted anyone. I don't really get that many couch requests, I think it's because where I live is not actually easy to get around? lol
But I've met with travellers already and went to get some coffee and walk around the city!

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot, I watch a lot, I listen to lot.
It's very difficult for me to select a few things for I'm very ecclectic. But let's see what I can come up with:
"I have been running so sweaty my whole life, urgent for a finish line.
I have been missing the rapture, this whole time of being forever incomplete."
(Alanis Morissette)

B: "Can you keep a secret? I'm trying to organize a prison break. I'm looking for, like, an accomplice."
C: *laughs*
B: "We'd have to first, get out of this bar. Then the hotel, then the country. Are you in or are you out?"
C: "I'm in."
B: "Good. I'll go pack my stuff. Oh, and get your coat."
C: *chuckles* "See ya."
B: "I hope you've had enough to drink. It's gonna take courage."
(Lost in Translation, by Sofia Coppola)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Deciding to travel to Buenos Aires with no plans whatsoever. The lack os planning made every part of the trip a surprise! Even when it wasn't all that nice, it was nice, lol.
Also starting the Cabine Literária (Literary Cabin, in a crude translation) and sharing knowledge to the world!
