About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy the simple things and take pictures of them :]

ABOUT ME

I would automatically describe myself as shy, but everyone else says I'm outgoing. I know that as long as I'm laughing, I'll be okay. I like spending time with friends talking over a few pints in the pub.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new! I haven't couchsurfed or offered up my place, but mostly I want to meet locals anyway.

Interests

Eating food. I love tasting new things. My favourite thing to do is bake, but cooking is a close second. I always get wrapped up in books and sacrifice sleep for a good historical fiction or dystopian future. I spend a lot of time behind cameras, both video and still. I'm an audiophile and my vinyl collection just keeps growing!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies....all of them. I have a particular admiration for disaster movies and 80's horror films.

Music is my soul. I mostly go for folk, indie, alt rock stuff but have recently started getting into classical music. I figure that it's the root of everything we listen to now, and I want to understand it better.

Books. Yikes. I love to read. I wouldn't be able to list everything off, but I will say which book changed my life. Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most memorable things I have ever seen is a shuttle launch in Florida, USA. The experience was amazing and it is almost indescribable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can bake. I think I could definitely teach someone to bake or cook. I have some experience with photography. I studied film in my post-secondary and took a few courses related to photography to learn about lenses.

I'm also good with my hands. I know a little about gardening and like getting my hands dirty.

I play several instruments and will do my best to teach you anything about them if you like! Piano, flute, guitar, mandolin and Autoharp to name a few.

Countries I’ve Visited
