Overview
About Me
Wow! So much to say! Since when I created this profile many things have changed and for the first time I'm starting to seriously consider the opportunity Couch Surfing can give me to meet people and travel freely.
I always say that I had a good education and the values I've been taught while growing are genuine principles of common sense - Love toward the other, respect and honesty. Those are the built in elements impossible to change for me and everything else comes from that background.
On the hosting side of things, I'm happy to stay anywhere, a spare little space where I can lay down and rest will do and I won't be fussy. I keep my space very clean and tidy, especially when I'm in other peoples home. I understand how delicate it is to let someone into your private space and I try to be as respectful as possible.
I took the decision to live my life as an international traveler around 2013, and since then I've been visiting many places and broadening my mind, exposed to many different ideas, people, cultures and experiences. This made me very flexible on many matters, I'm very easy to talk to and a great listener. Interested and oriented toward a buddhist philosophy of living, however, I am not religious. I really like to question myself and constantly try to grow and learn something new everyday, as this will help my brain stay active. I'm super chilled and easy going, I accept and respect everyones point of view. I look at the world and life in a very philosophical way and try to live everyday as if it was the last one. Love to be around good people and to drink and eat with them in a convivial way, to get closer and simply have a good time.
Obviously there is so much more to it, but i'll leave it to you to get to discover this guy.
If you'll give me a chance you won't regret it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling is my life, and I'm approaching a new way of doing it, with less money involved in the process and the good that comes from establishing relationships based on generosity, Couch Surfing is just one obvious step I am taking to do so. The idea of being hosted by another fellow traveller that has been in a similar position before or that has a mindset similar to mine because keen on accepting travellers in his/her couch, is inspiring and exciting. A great recipe for new friendships and connections.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite music if I had to pick a specific genre would be rock and all its gradients. Although we all know that based on your mood the music you like to listen changes, and I have a broad liking of many different genres. Favourites band would surely be Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Queen.
Movies is so difficult to pick a favourite genre, but I stick mostly on action movies, fantastic and animation. I've stopped watching tv long ago and I love to have quiet evenings with nice people watching a nice movie.
I'm an avid reader and I started with fantasy books when i was younger, moving into thriller, spiritual/philosophical, classic, magic realism and non-fiction.
Although I'm a dreamer and my favourite book so far it's been "Love in the time of cholera" from Gabriel Garcia Marquez. But I'm pretty sure I have a favourite one on each genre.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To give up certainty of stability to start living life the way I wanted, going against the status quo and what people around me would would expect. To decide what you stand for and take a stance, especially if different from the community around you, can be very scary, and that first step toward unknown is the scariest think i might've experienced.
On the way I've also been volunteering in Nepal for an animal shelter, walked two ways of "El camino de Santiago" crossing Spain and did another Japanese pilgrimage of 1200 kms.
I guess it's subjective what is amazing and what's not ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook (I'm still Italian even if my sense of belonging isn't very strong) and share a meal together. I have been learning a lot about organic farming and how to live more sustainably. I can share my knowledge around how to go for long distance travels and how to be prepared for overnight hikes. How to make macrame jewellery and friendship bracelets. Share ideas and concepts in an open and non aggressive confrontation of thoughts and ideas. Whatever wisdom I have got from life's lessons.
I'm all about sharing and if I can I will definitely share everything I have. Most of all i'm keen on sharing the most valuable resource we have in our life...time.
