Hello,
I’m Gage Smith, an young Californian Entrepreneur and explorer of the world ! I have been backpacking the past month through the Middle East and Europe, and now I have 2 more months to travel through Europe. This is my first time traveling like this and I’m looking forward to all the amazing experiences and memories I will be making with some of you !

I would say the reason I am traveling and why I’m on Couchsurfing is not for free accommodation and a place to stay, for me it is to meet and share amazing experiences with people like yourselves, share some good laughs, and really live IN each place I go to, as if I were a local and experiencing each place the way it is truly meant to be experienced. I love helping people and being apart of something bigger then myself. It’s simple but anything I can do to help just fills my heart.

A little bit about myself!
I am a very active individual and an Adreniline Junkie. My passions and Interests include playing guitar, singing, Jamming, Songwriting, Brazilian Jiujitsu, Nature, Acting / Theater, Art, Hiking, Outdoors, Surfing, Music Festivals, Cooking, exploring the unknowns, nice beer with a sunset, and most of all making meaningful connections with others.

I love learning new things, traditions, foods, and experiencing new cultures. If you would like someone to clean and help around the house I would be more then happy to help out and contribute :), I’ve done some cooking throughout my life, not an insane chef but I know some simple meals that are tasty ! Would love to have some food and language exchange if you are into that, I speak fluent English and basic Spanish.

I feel as if my life goal, in all simplicity, is making new long lasting meaningful connections and memories with others.
One of my favorite quotes I’ve heard, is from Christopher McCandless from “Into The Wild” and it goes,

“Happiness is only real when shared.” and I am looking forward to sharing some with you.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
There is not a genre of music that I don’t enjoy some of my favorite artists include; Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Alice In Chains, Radiohead, Coldplay, REZZ, Rage Against The Machine, Frank Sinatra, Frank Ocean, and The Parcels.

Movies:
My favorite movies are Into The Wild✨, My Octopus Teacher, Fantastic Fungi, The Breakfast Club, Inception, Hereditary, Interstellar, Ponyo, Spirited Away, Ninja Scrolls, and The Bear. I love some good mind bender’s ;) 🧡.

Not a super big book reader but my favorite series that I’ve read is “The Rangers Apprentice.”

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Always dreamed of starting my own Company. Now I own a startup called, “Working Teens Of The World” and have been running it for the past year !

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Jujitsu, Guitar, Singing, MMA, English, Simple Cooking, rolling cigarettes, and how to say Salud in 6 different Languages!

Learn: I would love to learn everything you have to share :). Some things I am interested in learning and experiencing are; Carpentry✨ , Painting, Photography, Rock Climbing, Sustainable living, Gardening, Bailando el Tango (or any other traditional dancing) , Slack Line, Paragliding / Skydiving, Wakeboarding, Any type of MMA, Drums, Piano, Scuba Diving, Dirtbiking, Cliff Jumping, and philosophy :).
