About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Fortunate to be living a full life in paradise. On the mission continuing to reach out for new experiences, kind people, and wonderful new places.
ABOUT ME
I am originally a "southern peach" raised in the South, USA. But, over the last 4 years I have moved around Hawaii and recently to Alaska for a year and then back to Hawaii. I move around to leave myself open to all of the new experiences and people. I have met some amazing, hilarious, inspiring, welcoming, loving and fascinating people and been a part of some great communities. Hope that never stops.
My background is in Biology, but I have spent the last 8 years working in the Sustainability and conservation sectors. I have been in Hawaii the last 11 years, but still am fortunate to travel often. I work for an environmental nonprofit teaching students about waste reduction and the impact of a throw away culture.
I feel the most connected with someone when we are laughing and being silly and candid.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love to share meals and cooking time learning new recipes or sharing silly stories. Play board games. I would love to walk the city while learning about special places, normally not seen. I want to help out with something around the house to say thank you. I hope to hear about phenomenal hikes, dance performances, SCUBA spots, and give you advice for visiting Hawaii, in return. Let me teach you some hula! I would love to hear about your unique hobby or that tattoo you don't remember getting. ;)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only stayed at a couple so far, but it was incredible. This family opened up their home to our entire ultimate frisbee team. This family made their living hosting classes and demonstrations on Medieval sword fighting! They had a training area in their backyard and everything! Such wonderful, fascinating and welcoming people. I loved it.
I did have a bad experience in Peru, but I know that is not the norm and it has taught me to be more cautious.

Music, Movies, and Books
American oldies, symphonies, Bassa Nova, latin music in general. I like fantasy books and historical fiction/non-fiction, cultural texts. Movies come and go, but I do love Anchorman, the Shawshank Redemption, Jurassic Park, and Bugs life as some good go-tos.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was a zoo keeper intern and I spent my summer working with Giant Pandas, Tigers, and African Elephants.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've dabbled in many things, but am currently an expert in none. Though, new skills learned keeps life interesting. So, I am very open to learning practical skills, instruments, herbal wisdom, traditional farming knowledge, textiles, meditation techniques, sailing, cooking wisdom, languages, yoga practices, circus and performances arts.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Home efficiency tips to lower your utility bills. Tips on traveling in Hawaii. Cooked meal. Hula lessons. Teach you to throw frisbee in multiple ways.
