A few fast facts about me:
First and foremost, I truly love traveling! Apart from family and close friends, I consider it the most important thing in life. It has taught me to appreciate other peoples and places, and I would like to believe that it has enriched me as a person.
I studied Archaeology and have worked at a number of sites in Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey.
I lived in the United States for five years while doing my PhD.
I also lived in Istanbul for an academic year while finishing up my Ph.D. thesis.
I have a black cat :)

To stay close to the locals and truly experience places - not as a tourist, but from inside the culture.
I would like to practice my Spanish. I am absolutely infatuated with this language!
As a host, it would be wonderful to meet new people.

Movies: Apollo 13, Brother Bear (the first one), The Fugitive (but, really, just about any Harrison Ford movie).

Music: pop, rock ballads, Latino.

I studied Archaeology for over ten years :)
But that is only because I did two separate degrees, please don't think I'm lazy. I actually finished my PhD faster than most of my fellow graduate students, even though I was the only non-native English speaker.
I also got two very competitive international fellowships.
