About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find out who I am, and what, exactly, it is I want to do...
ABOUT ME
Thinker. Dreamer. Ethical debater. Hardcore party animal. Communist. Trust. Honesty. Honour.
I run a dance show on Endeavour online radio:

My full name is Joseph Edward Sabey, but most just call me Joey...
I've lived in the same house, from the day I was born, till now.
That's 18 years living 4 miles out from the what seems to me to be the most dead-end town ever.
As crazy as it sounds, what I want to do is just set off. Not right now, but when I have everything I'll need together. Just set off and not look back. Moving from place to place, and not having to go 'home' in between; because I don't feel that where I live right now is home.
I'm still planning, but my key checkpoints so far are;
--United Kingdom
----London
--Netherlands
----Rotterdam
----Amsterdam
--Germany
----Munich, perhaps..?
--Russia
----Moscow
----Elsewhere
--Egypt
----Ancient sites
----Modern areas
--Japan
----Tokyo, love the lights
----Kyoto, maybe?
--Brazil
----Rio de Janeiro
----Everywhere else =P
I can't wait to set off. =D
There is so much more to me than I think I could ever express in words, and I think that my profile is already bigger than most that I have read, so I guess I'd better leave this section for now, or nobody will put in the time to read it.
Thank you for bearing with me if you have read this far. =)
PHILOSOPHY
It's complicated, I guess. I'll just use this section as an ever-expanding list of quotes I feel make good sense.
Good judgment comes from experience. And where does experience come from? Experience comes from bad judgment. — Mark Twain
It'll all pan out in the end. Always does. — Myself (egotastic, I know, but it gets me through things sometimes)
The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well, on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to be. — Douglas Adams
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Nothing for now, but I'd really like to.
I'd love to discuss the future of the project with Casey, but I'm guessing I'm far from alone on that respect.
I get the feeling from the existence of this project, and what others have said of him, that talking with him would really help me achieve my full potential, and perhaps give something great back to the world myself.
I'm sure I'll get there in the end. =)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Sadly, I have not thus far.
Slightly daunted, confused and even worried about finding people that would be willing to allow me to impose onto their lives in such a way...
And unfortunately I live in the most backwards place, where I doubt most would wish to be hosted at.
Interests
I'm an aspiring polymath. =P
Jokes aside, I can be a bit of a renaissance man...
I'm into...
Music.
Art.
Learning.
Computer programming.
Theoretical Socio-Economics.
Philosophy.
Egyptology.
Psychoactive substances.
Psychology.
Literature.
Dancing.
Partying.
Debating.
Social precedents.
...
Just so many things it's absurd to really go into it here. If you are unsure what I'm on about by anything there (I'm not using official terms or anything, just whatever seems to explain it to me) message me and I'll try to explain.
If you wanna chat about anything there, or even anything not there, give it a shot because I'm always open to a good chat about whatever.

Music, Movies, and Books
'List any music, movies or books that you are interested in.'
I willn't.
There is just far too much!
I'll just broadly sum up which musical styles I have been known to enjoy here:
Pop.
Rock.
Metal.
Punk.
Indie.
Grunge.
Industrial.
Ska.
Reggae.
Trance.
PsyTrance.
Techno.
Drum & Bass.
Happy Hardcore.
Hardcore. (Old Skool rave)
Acid House.
House.
Jazz.
Soul.
Neo-Soul. (Gnarls Barkley, Joss Stone, etc. have done some neo-soul.)
Blues.
Classical.
There may be more, but I'm not sure it's even worth going on...
I'm not so much into movies, so i won't really bother mentioning genres or individual titles here.
As for books, I'm generally up for whatever.
Not into Harry Potter in the slightest, way too cheesy and tacky.
I've enjoyed a lot of Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams.
I also enjoyed 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.
And the half of The Great Gatsby that I read.
And the the first part of Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas that I read of a friends copy.
And what I have read of Derren Brown's Trick Of The Mind.
You never can tell, really, if you ask me. Leave me alone in a room with a book, and nothing else to do for an hour or two, and we'll see what happens.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At Download festival 2008, when I was stood outside the toilet cubicles waiting for somebody, I picked up a couple of discarded toilet rolls that people hadn't noticed, or were too embarrassed to pick up themselves, and handed them to girls who needed them to go to the toilet. When they came out, they handed them back and thanked me, and I duly handed them on to somebody else. I would have loved to have stayed there for so much longer, just helping out.
I know it doesn't sound so amazing, but it happened recently, and is fresh in my mind. I feel that this tiny act gave comfort to those in real need of it at that moment in time.
I severely hope that after I left, those who had the toilet roll passed it on to somebody else that needed it, and didn't break that little chain.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am willing to learn just about anything you're willing to teach.
If people stick to what they know, and go at it with enthusiasm, then I'm sure they'll be able to share their interest. =)
Try me. =)
On the other side of things, I'm willing to share any and all knowledge, opinion and theory that I have on just about any subject that you're willing to listen to.
I have shear -TONNES- of enthusiasm for relaying all sorts of information on all sorts of subjects, and I can talk for hours if you let me, so I'd advise caution, an open mind, and plenty of patience before you set out. =)
