About Me

CURRENT MISSION

studying in as many different countries of the world as possible. next stop is england!

ABOUT ME

well, obviously i love traveling, like everyone else here. I love setting myself challenges in life, the next one being studying in london.

i spent three years in the US as a male Au Pair (yes, they do exist, although they are a very rare species!) and also studied there. afterwards, I lived in Sweden for a year and a half, also for my studies.

on of my biggest passions in life is basketball, and it definitely helps me to integrate everywhere.

i am very social, love meeting new people and building friendships around the world.

very easy going, love music, don't need much to be happy...do need a reasonably sized couch though, since i'm not the shortest fella out there!

PHILOSOPHY

Wow, this is deep. I guess I'm still on my way to figure out why I live life. But I definitely have the will to change something in this world, which is why I am taking the approach of entering International Relations. I am impressed, and saddened at the same time by the works of international organizations like the UN, and hope that one day I will be in the position to do something good for a lot of people. Until then, I will do as much as I can on a small scale to further international, intercultural, interracial and inter-gender dialogue.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

for now i unfortunately cannot offer a couch to sleep on, since i'm staying with my parents for the next two month, but i am looking forward to having my own place in london, to accommodate you guys.

i love the idea of this project, and hope it will help me to get to know a lot of people and see new places.

Music, Movies, and Books

there are too many, but here are some ultimate favorite books:

Jose Saramago - City of Blind
Naomi Klein - The Shock Doctrine
Joseph Stiglitz - Making Globalization Work
Harry Potter, I have to admit it!
Gustave Flaubert - Madame Bovary
Mikhail Bulgakov - Master and Margharita

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bungeejumped from a bridge, dipping my head into the water. I count that as my near death experience. Hold on, there was another one...had a gun pointing at my head in my first week in the US, because I forgot that I could turn right at a red light. Probably the fastest way I ever remembered something for the rest of my life!
