About Me

I am a young, adventurous girl who wants to see the world and learn everything there is to learn about it. I want to learn so many languages that I don't know where to start.

I was born in a small city in the North of Spain, but, for the last few years I lived in a little village lost amidst the mountains, within a small community of people who leaded a self-sustained ecological way of living.

Right after finishing my University Degree, six months ago, I came to Manchester. I am really happy here and I love English culture and, unbelievable as it may seem, English weather too ;)

Nevertheless, I am already thinking about what country to live in next. I'm thinking about France, Italy or Finland, but where I really want to go (maybe when I learn a little Mandarin) is China. Of course, I would love to go back to Canada someday.

I am also looking forward to volunteering in the summer, maybe in South America, Africa or India.

In the meantime, I want to get to know people from different countries and visit Europe during my holidays, so I find Couchsurfing an amazing way of achieving that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join Couchsurfing because I believe it is an amazing way of getting to see the world and, particularly, of getting to know people from different countries and cultures. I always loved learning different languages and getting to know people from all over the world. No doubt, this community gives the chance to get involved with the culture of the country you visit like no other way of travelling can.

Interests

My passions are languages and literature, but I am very fond of cinema, theatre, music, photography, art and travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love rock music. In fact, my favourite place in the world is The Cavern Club :)

I usually watch classic cinema and my favourite films are Pulp Fiction, Casablanca and 2001: A Space Odyssey. I love every kind of good cinema, though.

I am much into classic literature and I believe that reading its great classics is an amazing way of getting to know a country's culture and language. My favourite books are The Great Gatsby, The Catcher in the Rye, Jane Eyre and Bohemian Lights, among many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the greatest experiences I have had was going to Canada during the summer of 2007. I lived with a host family there and they were just like a family to me. I still keep contact with them and I feel them as close as my own family. Getting to know Canadian culture from the point of view of the natives was an amazing experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share my life experiences with people from different countries. Of course, if you are looking forward to learning English, Spanish, French, or even Basque, I am the right person to practise with.

I am really looking forward to learning Italian, Chinese and German at the moment, so I would welcome any opportunity to learn the basics to those languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Right now I have a bed to offer in my flat in Manchester and, even though I work almost every afternoon and evening, I would love to show the city to my guests in the mornings :)

Apart from that, you could learn about Spanish culture with me!
