About Me

I am 24, from the UK and love doing as many things and meeting as many people as possible. I have been travelling for a while and plan to keep on going as long as I can. As a visitor, I am friendly and outgoing and will never make a mess or take anyone's hospitality for granted. I want to see new places for through the eyes of a local and having heard hundreds of fantastic stories about Couchsurfing, it seems the best way to do this! Please feel free to ask me any questions!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been travelling for about a year now, mostly through Asia, and I thought it was about time I started looking for different ways of getting around. I have been pretty exclusively in hostels but want to try new experiences, meeting new and interesting people (and finding a place to stay for a night or two). But whenever I am in the UK I am happy to have people stay of course!

Interests

Sports. I love playing and watching almost all sports. Of course, being from the UK where football is king, I love to play whenever possible. I follow Manchester United but have a soft spot for Everton and Wigan too. I love racquet sports - particularly badminton - and have been skiing for many years too. I watch movies whenever I can, listen to a bit of music and generally enjoy doing as many things as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

David Bowie or The Smiths are probably who I listen to the most. My three favourite movies are Submarine, Secretary and Scott Pilgrim vs The World. I don't read a lot but read On The Road recently and really liked it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Mount Fuji out of season. I was sort of forced to do this by my fearless Dutch friend but absolutely fantastic as we were virtually the only ones on the whole volcano.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, football, badminton and skiing/snowboarding. I want to learn as much as possible, particularly Spanish. I've been learning from a book, a good book mind, but still not the same as speaking daily. I can share experiences or stories I guess!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well I can play about 5 songs on guitar, can speak basic Spanish and Fluent English of course. I can cook a little and have some decent travel stories. I guess my most salable attribute is that I am incurably curious about new things. I know this is sort of reversing the question but i'm sticking with it. I always like to have a good time.
