ABOUT ME

If I'm not working then I'm probably traveling, even if its just across town or across country or across the oceans. If I'm not traveling then I'm for sure thinking about it, thinking about the people I miss and dreaming of the ones to come. And while I'm doing all of this, I'm always learning; whether it's just how to say hello or what the best candies are in a certain country.

I was the first to go to college in my family, first to move out of my state, first to do anything but what you want me to and first to try nearly anything at least once. Or twice. My home state is Virginia but I've lived in Brooklyn, NY; Long Beach, CA; Hollywood, CA and currently Silver Lake, CA. I've traveled through parts of Europe and SE Asia. My next goal is to possibly live in Bangkok, I absolutely adore Thailand and its people. Or maybe I'll just head to Colorado where the mountains are.

I love bicycles, motorcycles, classic cars and walking. I enjoy climbing a good rock or mountain or tree or two to remember to never grow up. I love almost any food you put in my face, especially if its made of pure sugar or chocolate.

I've seen so many different smiles from all around the world. That's what reminds me that this place we live in and on has a chance. A good laugh will break down the walls of any language barrier quicker than you can pour the next drink.

PHILOSOPHY

Anything that makes you happy, go for it. If it's not going anywhere, change the direction. Even if the music isn't all that good, dance anyway.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have Couchsurfed in the United States, Vietnam and Thailand. And every time it's been a different amazing experience. The people I've met, the people that have cooked me dinner and those that scooped me on their motorbikes in the middle of the night; THANKS, YOU FUCKING ROCK!

One way I like to pay this forward is by hosting other fellow travelers in my home :) Couchsurfing is like this automatic 'AWESOME' filter where everyone you let into your home feels like a friend you haven't seen since middle school and it's the best ever. I've hosted ladies and gents from Germany and England so far and I hope there are many more to come.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing but positive experiences and fun people! Even if some have not been able to host, they still meet up for dinner, drinks and some good conversation that make us both feel like we've been friends for years. I love Couchsurfing.org and really appreciate the service it provides.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was in Frankfurt, had no cash, credit card wouldn't work, had no way of checking into the my hostel, and a random person i had met on the street gave me 15 euros so that i could get checked in. He told me that a week earlier, he had lost his wallet while at the train station and a man had given him the same amount to get on his way; so he owed someone a favor and said not to worry about it.... then i finally got my card working and got some cash.

What comes around goes around. No matter what you do or don't believe in.
