Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really have never had much to offer other couch surfers, not least of which being a couch, but you can be sure that once I'm established I'd be an avid hoster.

Music, Movies, and Books

Erik Satie is the godfather of modern (and post-modern) music. Some books that I own and love: Ned Rorem's New York and Paris Diaries, William T. Vollman's Butterfly Stories, David Foster Wallace's Consider the Lobster and other essays, The Wanting Seed by Anthony Burgess, Hero with the Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell, The Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got Daren Hagen to send me an autographed copy of Ned Rorem's published New York and Paris diaries after meeting him at the reception of his triple concerto premier. And I've had some amazing cups of tea.
