About Me

This intro is a bit old!! I'm 32 now - but the rest still stands :)

I'm Gastón Lozano, 26 years old, argentinian. I'm an engineering student that loves traveling and making things, among other hobbies.

About me, I love manual labour and green sceneries, although I live in a city my mother was born and raised in a farm where my grandparents still live and I've been always very fond to it. But at the same time I'm also really into electronic art and coding, as I'm a web developer.

I consider myself as a very honest and straightforward person, I believe communication is a key value for any relationship, personal or work related.
I really hope I get to continue meeting other interesting Couchsurfers while traveling and share many experiences together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, and the only way to know a place is through their people - you tell me a better way to do this and I'll be there too!

Interests

I'm quite passionate about a number of things.. over the top of my head I would say: Music! I need it, I live through it, just sitting in a couch and listening to a good album can change my day, even my week! I also love a good movie and almost every type of art. I'm very interested into electronic art and creative coding, forms of art that involve technology and innovation. Which brings us to my line of work which is web development. So well there are plenty of things I enjoy, but we shouldn't forget about the most important ones: eating and sleeping!

tl;dr: music movies experimenting diy science math systems developing technology innovation electronics arduino arcades foood cooking thinking (a lot)

Music, Movies, and Books

I really couldn't choose any favorite, I think there are different moments in our lives for different readings, melodies or movies. But there are some that get stuck for us for a looong long time. And I'd like to highlight some artists in that area: Pink Floyd, Aldous Huxley, La Polla Records, Escher, Siriusmo, David Bowie, Michael Gondry, Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Wes Anderson, The Doors, Tiga, Arthur Clarke, Kerouac, Extremoduro, The Beatles, Roman Polanski and I'm missing looots and lots of them

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've travelled a lot! mostly through South America and Europe. I've stablished myself as a freelancer developer and got to work with clients overseas. I've stablished lots of relationships with many many people and I'm really glad to call lots of them friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

'We have something to learn from everybody that crosses our path'. Thats maybe the best piece of advice my mother ever told me, and I live by it every day. So if life, fate, god, or however you wish to call it, gets us together - I'm sure we will have a lot to teach each other and I'm looking forward to it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well everything! To me, sharing is the whole point of traveling. I love cooking, watching movies, listening to music, biking, walking, talking, discussing and playing soccer among other things. And I hope to share as much as possible! Oh yes right, we usually don't think 'drinking beer' as an activity to share but it surely is one of the best ones to me!
