ABOUT ME

My best friends think I'm a hoot. A person who doesn't care what other people think of him (I mean you do care to a certain degree, but screw it you know?) Not to toot my own horn, but I think I'm the goofiest person I know. I think people are people regardless of color , education, class, BUT if you come at me about your race, education, and class makes you feel superior, the conversation is DONE.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm from the southern United States and it's a pretty conservative, closed-minded region. So with that said, I believe you can learn something from everyone you meet if you're willing to be all ears about it, but the political climate in the States is pushed to be less about policies and more about bigotry, which I don't condone. If you feel like you're on the conservative side, my conversation is done with you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was in Chicago in summer of 2014, I met up with a Couchsurfing buddy for drinks and dinner. Probably the best part of the trip.

Interests

My biggest hobby so far has been playing golf; I find it frustrating yet relaxing.

I can't play soccer like I used to, but I still love to play pick up with the younger crowd. It keeps me young.

I'm obsessed with the World Cup and the Olympics.

As a geographer, I'm really into maps. I have a few around my house hanging up.

I feel like reading about current events is imperative to improve our society. It's important to know what's going on politically.

I do enjoy reading, but I haven't had time to truthfully get into a book. I have been reading up on the history of Somali pirates and the classic, Moby Dick.

I really enjoy documentaries like The Two Escobars, Pelada, Kicking It, Born into Brothels, When We Were Kings, but if you want a list of movies here ya go: City of God, Kids, Pulp Fiction, The Last King of Scotland, Babel, True Grit, Miracle at St. Anna, Munich, Drive, Planet of the Apes (1968), Do the Right Thing

I really like cooking. I can teach you how to make numerous Southern meals like: Red beans and rice, jambalaya, and fried chicken.
