After having traveled the globe, it is time for a different angle

ABOUT ME

Well, apart from the easy part of stating my name, which is Stefan by the way, this will have to come straight from the hip.
I guess it is rather easy; after having whirled around the globe for several years (not really in one go though, rather a multitude of trips) places tend to be rather reminiscent of one another. Some places stand out of course, but with some you get the feeling that you probably should have spent a few months there to get to know the place and get the full potential. As I feel I really do not have those few months for every place, CS sounded like a good way to kick-start a visit.
I hope I will be a happy member of this community :D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed a few couches since 2009 and taken a few visitors out for drinks or food as well as sightseeing in Stockholm.In terms of CS friends I will probably not add someone I just went out for a drink with, but will happily leave a comment. Should the person be a total CS virgin, I might add as friend if it was a good experience just to get the person's profile going. That is my stance.

Rather varied I must say. In terms of excercising interests I used to play football and do track and field as well as skiing the slopes for fun. Now I have more or less locked away the skis in the attic and changed the other sports for squash and running.

In terms of movies I mostly prefer comedies in different shapes, but have a weak spot for anything that has strange hats and muskets in it as well (as a friend neatly put it).

I would not necessarily say 'amazing', but somewhat odd was when we gave the Argentinian policeman (see photo) a lift from one posting to the next - a journey of 100 km.
