to explore the world and meet a lot of great people!
This is always a difficult task, so you'll probably get more out of reading my references, but I'll give it a try anyway :)
I'm a hitch hiker. :) I think that is the first and far most important information in this connection.* I'm very spontaneous and adventurous, and I love just putting out my thumb and not knowing where the next ride will take me, or who will enter my life. Often my hitch hiking trips are more about the adventure of the trip itself, than reaching the destination.
Cities and their history fascinate me, but I'm even more interested in the present culture; the heart and soul of a city. Whereever I go I would love to enter a local home, drink some local beer, try the traditional food, learn some words and of course hang out with the locals :)
Every person I meet has a great impact on my life. I simply love to meet people and learn about there lifes, point of views etc. I'm very openminded and talkative! My ideal night is an unknown place, outside, beautiful nature around, lovely people, some beer and a guitar. Wanna join? :)
Besides that I can tell you, that I'm a very creative person. I'm educated from The National Film Actors Academy of Denmark, and also I play guitar and piano, sing, make songs, draw, paint etc. I'm a very smiling girl, which often seems to affect people, and I love socialize :)
That's about what I can come up with now. The rest you'll figure out when we meet ;)
- uh, and I don't smoke anymore (in case you don't allow smoking and you are worried of that due to my pictures :) - not that I would ever have smoked if you didn't allow it) It only happens occationally if I go out and drink beer...
*well, I wrote this before going on my big hitch hiking trip - now I'm flying to the USA, so it's probably NOT that important. Still, I don't want to delete it, as I think it says a lot about me :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted many people, met some just for coffee and showed others around. I always write back, and even if i can't host you, I'll help you if possible.
I've had so many wonderful couchsurfing experiences, and actually no bad ones. Many fantastic CS'ers have crossed my way, opened their doors and made my trips unforgettable. Some I'm still in contact with some, and most I hope to get to see again.
Thanks for all the good times, the homemade food, the stories you've told and places you've shown me!
Creative stuff. Theatre, art, film, music, .... and travelling of course. - and dancing and drinking and playing pool and...
Music, Movies, and Books
The Boondock Saints and Damien Rice... what can I say - absolutely love the Irish! :)
I like a lot of different music, as long as it touches me in some way... or makes me dance. :) I'm a big fan of MUSE, that kind of encapsulates my taste in music. From the hard noisy rock to the soft and beautiful ballads. Myself, I'm a singer-songwriter (folk) and of course I enjoy a lot of other singer-songwriters.
Movies - I wouldn't know where to start.... Well actually, "In Bruges" was the first one that just came to mind - it's genius!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hitch hiked from Denmark around Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia, and back again with my best friend in July 2008, and that is the best experience I've ever had! I believe in the goodness of people, and this time I really got it confirmed!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some basic guitar or piano. I can help you with math. I will challenge you in pool, teach you how to pour beer (if you are american!) and probably drink you under the table ;) I can offer great tips on hitch hiking and teach you how to flip pancakes in the air.
I love to learn about everything!! Both out of personal interest and because wide knowledge and experience is useful for an actor. Any weird skill or hobby you might have, I find fascinating and would want to try/learn about. (Curiosity killed the cat!)
