I like meeting interesting people in far flung corners. I'm very much into reading and writing, exploring (cities especially), and checking out art and architecture. I'm a serious amateur doublebassist, orchestral, jazz, hip hop and bluegrass. In for serious conversation or jocular beer sucking.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I open my floor and couch to any and all, in general. This trip will be the first time I've tried to use couchsurfer.com in a serious way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've crashed with various friends, but never with complete strangers. I've had more people crash with me, in Korea, in Rome, and especially at my old commune in Seattle.

Interests

Playing music - I do all styles with upright or electric bass. I also try to write a lot of poetry and prose. I'm reading a few books at any given time. I generally try to live life thinking about new ideas as much as possible, but usually I just end up thinking about beer or chicks or something.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got sent to war, I guess that was "amazing." I've played at many cool house parties with many weird bands, I've traveled around a lot and lived in some pretty disperate places.
