ABOUT ME

I live in Kuala Lumpur with my wonderful wife, Trina. It's a funny old town but we're settling in!

I'm easy going, friendly, probably a bit quiet until I get to know you at which point you may wish I was quiet again!

I HATE ketchup. There isn't really anything else I hate.

PHILOSOPHY

Having spent my life surrounded by Catholics, Buddhists, Hindus and now Muslims, I have cherry-picked the good things and dropped the bad. Essentially, I just try to be decent to people and not let bad stuff build up inside, or conform to pressure just because it's easier.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've now hosted into the double figures of people, so we're pretty comfortable with hosting. It's good to meet new people, learn about their lives in their country, about their travels. I also enjoy cooking for people! So its good to have new... guinea pigs :D

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Mostly non-fiction. I read to learn, I'm very visual when it comes to story telling. I make an exception for Douglas Adams! :D

Movies: I like a good laugh. Drama can be good once its not predictable.

Music: Everything and anything. I don't think good music is categorised by genre.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Thailand was amazing; challenging and exciting.

I have seen all of the Great Apes in the wild! (Not counting Bonobos, because getting into the Congo's jungles is not worth my life just yet!) Next up, all the big cats. We've seen all of Africa's big cats, can I find a Malayan tiger?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook? haha. And design and develop websites. And probably know more about science in general than most people as I tend to stick my head in books.
