About Me

I'm a genuine, confident, easy-going guy with a fear of commitment and a thirst for adventure. I feel most alive at the edge of my comfort zone. I was raised in Minnesota, went to college in Kansas, spent some time working in Germany, and now I'm living here in Denver! My life consists of architecture school, working at a brewery, and hanging out with my dog. I talk in my sleep, wear pajamas in public, and flip coins to make decisions. I've never had coffee and hopefully never will.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I've been couchsurfing for a few years now. Surfing, Hosting, Meetings - it's all good! I value experiences more than anything in life, and couchsurfing is great way to experience the world or help others do the same!

Interests

Music (guitar, piano, singing, songwriting) Creating (woodworking, architecture, photography, brewing beer, cooking) Outdoors (snowboarding, wakeboarding, rock climbing, hiking, swimming, scuba)

Music, Movies & Books

I describe my music tastes as "acoustic easy-listening" (Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, etc); I love unwinding with a good movie, and I enjoy all different kinds; Unfortunately, I don't read very often, but I do enjoy a good philosophy book

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I'll do almost anything for a good story..... Freaked out in an Amsterdam coffee shop, celebrated my 21st birthday in New York City, worked at a brewery in Germany, took a month vacation to snowboard in Vail every day, went downhill biking on the most dangerous road in the world, 30 hour road trip to California with friends when we were 17, hiked the five cities of Cinque Terre, spring break in Panama City Beach, Odysseus' island in Greece, moved to Denver, trekked to Machu Picchu, hiked Norway's Naeroyfjord, went snowboarding in Bariloche, saved lives as a lifeguard, studied Gaudi's architecture in Barcelona, hitchhiked through the driest desert in the world, cuddled with deer and chased sharks in Key West, felt an earthquake in D.C., saw a world cup quarterfinal game in Rio de Janeiro.
