38 year old Iron Maiden loving rocker from Wales. Born in Norway.
I love travelling, by train mainly, but also by other means. I like the actual travelling between destinations - the journey.
I have been to quite a few places, and have stayed with families on many occasions in the past. I like to keep in touch with people I meet. I recently had a friend I met while in Toronto in 2012, who is from Santiago, Chile stay with me. It's great.

I am on a serious budget this year, but I am intending to travel to Norway, Sweden, Denmark and hopefully Finland in June this year (2016) to see Iron Maiden in each place. I may need help to be able to afford it, especially in Finland maybe. I am just seeing what happens, and looking at how easy/difficult it could be. I'm interested in this, as it could help keep the costs down and meet new people or potential friends. I enjoy staying with families, I get on well with most people. I may consider hosting in the future.

Turns out it's very difficult to plan a trip using couchsurfing. I think of all the requests and messages I sent, just 2 replied. And it was too late. It is good for advice or help, though. I appreciate that. Hopefully,on a simpler trip, it will work out better. Still considering hosting.

兴趣

I like music; iron maiden and other metal bands nd other music. I play (make a noise out of) guitar. I do enjoy travelling around, seeing different places and meeting good people.
I like a couple of beers to relax or chill out, and catch up with friends. (I suffer BAD hangovers, so try not to drink too much when I have things on like travelling >_<

I like sports; Football, Ice Hockey, American Football, Rugby, baseball etc.

Movies: Planes, Trains and Automobiles. John Candy/John Hughes films. I like sport films as well. Rocky/Slap Shot plus music Rockumentary Spinal Tap.
Big Monty Python fan as well.

Books: Jules Verne Around the world in 80 days. Terry Pratchett's discworld. James Herbert and Stephen King.
Also, guitar/history/geography books.

Sky Dive in 2012, a few weeks before going off on a 3 month trip around North America to see friends and watch Maiden.
Sky Dive was in Swansea, South Wales, and was incredible. Best adrenaline hit ever. (It lasted weeks!)
