Last year of Master's Degree at KU!!
Actually, just graduated, I live in Salamanca now.
I'm a Libertarian, Vegetarian and studying to be a librarian. Haha! no jk, I'm not really studying to be a librarian (although I am a devout Libertarian and Vegetarian). I've recently been accepted to The University of Kansas in order to attain a Master's Degree in Health Education & Psychology of Physical Activity. So I'll be living in Lawrence Kansas for the next couple of years, so come on over!! =)
I'm keen on my ability to be a free thinker and come up with my own unique concepts of what this mystery called "life" truly entails...
I'm currently interested in lucid dreaming and transcendental meditation. I want to go there, and beyond, I want to know...
The intellectual pursuit is one of the most important feats of this life, and is very important to me. I like to think of myself as a sponge, thirsty for knowledge on this side of the lower concetration gradient of a cosmic semi-permeable membrane (yea, I'm a biology nerd).
I'm very much into the arts of and I like poetry, for example I wrote this just a bit ago...
Time doesn't exist,
We don't age,
Our dna decays
But the Journey,
The Journey is very real,
I wrote that during the first few hours I arrived home after a 6 month journey backpacking alone through Spain and a bit of Eastern Europe. That journey has truly opened my eyes and changed me forever. CouchSurfing during my travels provided me the most memorable and special events during my trip. I discovered how special this community is and I will never forget it.
I consider myself to be a kind person, articulate, respectful, multi-cultural, educated, intelligent, conscious and well rounded (or at least I strive to be these things!)
I love to philosophize and ponder our existence and place in the Universe, it's basically what I do all day.
I'm a dreamer, endlessly in this existence.
I believe in the Big Bang Singularity, which proposes that we all come form one single point in time. Therefore, I believe in Oneness, and I think it's absolutely beautiful.
Our Universe is such a truly majestic place, infinitely beautiful.
I'm very open minded and love to meet people, and talk about this or that, or basically anything. So feel free to start a conversation.
The meaning of life,
Is to live it,
So live it up,

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I open my home and offer whatever I can to surfers. After surfing around Europe, remembering all the love I received from this special community, I feel obligated to give some love back.
Have hosted quite a bit: individuals, couples, families, musicians, bands... would like to host more and give back to this awesome community though!
And have surfed all around the world, mostly in Asia (3 cities) and Europe (9 cities).
I really got involved in CS while studying abroad in Spain. I found it a bit difficult to really integrate with the Spaniards so I started attending CS meetings and such. It was an awesome decision. The friends I made and different people I met opened my eyes to how great this community is.
As I backpacked through Spain and Europe after my semester ended, I really got into the CS mentality and had an absolutely great experience.

Music: Radiohead, Muse, Jorge Drexler, Gorillaz, Kaskade, Late Night Alumni, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights...
Books: The Holotropic Mind (Grof), Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming (LaBerge), Meditation within Eternity (Pepin), The Varieties of Scientific Experience (Sagan), A Brief History of Time (Hawking), The God Delusion (Dawkins), The Mission of Art (Grey)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Two Summers ago I studied abroad in South Korea, that was absolutely amazing. It was my introduction to the world, basically. Before that I had basically lived my entire life in a small town in Kansas.
-Last Summer I lived and interned in Lawrence, Kansas at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. I worked with mainly elderly patients in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. The stories and time I spent with those patients truly opened my eyes to the need to enjoy life before my time is up.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer you a true Lawrencian perspective on this beautiful city, a direct connection with the sprawling music and art scene here, history, as well as a place literally 5 minutes walking distance from the heart of downtown Lawrence for as many people and pretty much as many days as you'd like. We have a slightly anarchist perspective on communal living and reducing our carbon footprint. I live with my three best friends and we're friendly, welcoming and try to be worthy stewards of CS. A word of warning though, we are all college students and occasionally like to party so you might be kept up late a night or two and we live in not the most most luxurious home (although it has it's fair share of character).
Anyways as you can probably see from my references, I'm a pretty decent host and will gladly accommodate you as much as possible!
