I'm a kiwi (New Zealander) travelling around the US for a couple of months - my first trip here and it's been great exploring.

I've been wanting to get into couchsurfing for a while so it's good to be in a country where it works.. looking forward to lots of fun experiences!

To get to know interesting people in interesting places... and get a peek into local life where I'm travelling. Much more meaningful than a hotel! When I settle after travelling I'll have the chance to pay it back by hosting people myself.

I'm keen on a lot of things... especially the outdoors! I'm a big fan of hiking and mountaineering. My background is in biology and I'm also into history and international development. Always interested in learning more about new areas.

Lived in Kyrgyzstan for a couple of months helping the government and university to set up genetic profiling of livestock... mixed in with some adventures in the Kyrgyz mountains!
