Larry -- male 61 introverted and an old nerd. When not on a computer or at work inventing things I enjoy exploring the world a little bit at a time.

Jan -- female 58 exrovert enjoys art, traveling, the great outdoors, and meeting people.

Children -- two females in their 20's. They are in and out of here between their world travels.

PHILOSOPHY

Be pleasant, laid back, and enjoy life to its fullest. It's not worth getting upset over unimportant things.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many years ago, before the internet, PCs, and even before CDs were invented – it was along time ago- I hitchhiked and bicycled across North America. Many people opened up their houses for me. Every year on RAGBRAI, people let us use pitch tents in their yards. I just want to give back to the community all of the sharing that others have done for us.

Interests

I like to travel, bike, canoe, dream of climbing large rock walls from when I was younger, but instead I spend way too much time online.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived after first assents rock climbing, staring competitions with bears in the wilderness, winter camping at -30 degrees while snowshoeing and skiing, bicycle commuting for over 35 years, being hit by a car while walking - twice, being swept down a river in an overturned canoe during a flood ...
