About Me
*****PLEASE try to read everything before sending a request*****
I'm Mexican and have been living on and off in Iceland since 2019, so if you're looking for an Icelandic experience, I might not be the best considering I'm learning about the country and the language. Also, this is not my house 100% so, unfortunately, the owners have to agree to host people first :)
I'm currently traveling the world with this lovely human:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
*****MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW EXPENSIVE ICELAND IS BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO COME!***** (it'll save you a lot of sad moments)
I'm not on CS to offer a 5-star hotel or an on-site tourist guide that can go with you whenever, wherever. I also don't set the country prices. Unfortunately, it doesn't help to cry or complain to me about it.
I'm on CS because I love the idea of sharing the things you have and helping out whenever you can. I've been on CS for almost 20 years I've met amazing people along the way. I've met some of my best friends through this platform :D
Interests
*****PLEASE, PLEASE no presents!! :D (unless they're edible)*****
I'm happy to have people over. Many like to bring a small "thank you" gift, but it's unnecessary. There are two lovely children in this home, and they appreciate trying different foods from different parts of the world (but again, NOT necessary).
I own a small chocolate factory in Norway and make chocolate at home almost every day so, please, PLEASE, no chocolate (you can give it love on Instagram, I appreciate all follows! @cacaoland_official )

Music, Movies, and Books
I am open to all types of music, movies, and books.
- Music: I have noticed that dubstep and metal make me anxious.
- Movies: I can't watch anything involving murders or other terrible things based on true stories. Ghost stuff is fine :)
- Books: Do you have any good suggestions? I like reading a lot, especially because it helps me improve my writing style.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've hosted racist people [even for long periods; I've never kicked anyone out]. Isn't that amazing?!
I wouldn't host them again nor befriend them, but it's interesting to find them on a platform like CS (which –to me– is more of a "left-wing" crowd).
(That being said, if you think homosexuality is not ok, your religion is better than another one, and some races are better than others, please find another host who's into that. I'm, unfortunately, not).
Teach, Learn, Share
In my life, I speak a combo of Spanish, English, Norwegian, and sometimes Italian and Icelandic. If you want to practice any of those, hit me!
I ALWAYS share tea, hot chocolate, or coffee; I give breakfast (usually stuff that works for my allergies, sorry) to those who stay with me. I use that time to talk to surfers and get to know them better :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a host, I offer:
Breakfast, laundry machine, space in the fridge/cupboard to store groceries, and a lot of tea! Yes, there's Wi-Fi as well. You can also borrow a thermos to carry around a warm drink (we know Icelandic winds are SAVAGE!)
As a surfer, I offer:
A very well-behaved guest who's quiet, tidy, and thankful. If space provides the opportunity for ingredients, I might cook Mexican food.
