Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to travel economically but also to meet people and learn about culture from the view of someone who lives in that country. To see the real country, not what is offered on show for tourists. When I return from my travels I would like to do the same for others. There are some beautiful things in my city which I can show travellers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like everything music wise! From heavy rock to classical. I love reading - faves are; The bell jar, Shades of grey (NOT 50), the alchemist, and Tuesdays with Morrie. Movies - I like films that take you out of your normal worldview and make you think - eg the matrix, eternal sunshine, Truman show, inception, vanilla sky.

Rome - my favourite place I've seen so far. Gorgeous architecture and amazing food!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn about other cultures and can teach about mine. I'm very interested in consciousness and the mysteries of life. I'm interested in learning about other people's religions and worldviews. I'm not religious myself but I believe there is something out there. I'm interested to find the truth and meaning in life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am Monica out of friends. OCD tidy. I find cleaning calming when I'm stressed so can certainly help out with cleaning whilst stayong with you. My husband cooks (and is actually rather good) so can prepare meals during our stay. Also hopefully interesting conversation and good manners. I don't often drink so I won't be a noisy guest!
