ABOUT ME

Grew up in Rolla, Missouri. Went to college in St. Louis. Graduated. Worked at Philmont. Then I skied for a season. Then I worked at Duke for a year. Walked the AT. Moved to Sudan. Then I moved to Taiwan, then Tanzania, then Afghanistan, and now to DC. Here I am.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Crashed on lots of random couches, one or two of which were found through couchsurfing. Had people crash on my couches lots of times, ten or twelve of which were found through couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So, one time I was hiking was getting hungry. I come around a turn in the trail and, no joke, there's a 72 year old man and his 70 year old wife standing with a picnic basket. He says, "we brought you some brownies." How cool is that?
