After last living in the Santa Cruz Mountains for about 5 years, I took a leap and moved to Chicago last November. I absolutely love it here, but I also love to frequent Santa Cruz. It will always be "home," as well.

Ok. About me. Where to begin?

One minute I'm checking out this Couchsurfing app, the next, I need to write about myself.
So here it goes...the poorly organized autobiography. ;)

Outside of the "day job," I am an active artist, musician and photographer. As soon as I moved to Chicago, I immediately became a member of the Art Institute Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. So, I love to frequent these two places, and attend the member events. I play the guitar, write music, and love live shows.

I live in the neighborhood of Logan Square, which is filled with craft cocktails, great nightlife and a supportive arts community. When I go out, if it's not in my neighborhood, it's in Boystown.

Ok, so this is the beginning of my adventure. I hope to fill this section up with all of the exciting trips that I have taken...one day...after I have taken them.

I generally eat Paleo. (...although moving to Chicago, where the pizza is world-famously delicious has not been helpful!)
I worship the ocean.
My religion is music and nature.
I've been on the planet for 48 years, but I pretty much look, act and feel age 30. I have no intention of actually "being" 48, until I'm 92.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I have found that we tend to say, "one day I want to go here, or there." The thing is, it's always easy enough to say next year, or when my career is at the certain spot, or what have you. What I'm learning is, unless you just jump, nothing happens. So I'm jumping.
