About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live, love, eat, emancipate.

ABOUT ME

24, English, fun (or so I'm told). I went travelling after Uni and then decided to come home and "get a real job"... On paper, a great job, but in practice, a soulless, pressurised existence that left me with that feeling that really... if I was hit by the proverbial bus, I would be disappointed that I'd stayed in it too long.

So now I am back to looking for the joyful existence! I'm going to be working at Summer Camp in the USA, one more thing that I've always wanted to do, that I will soon be able to tick off my list.

I don't like homophobes, racists and sexists. Even if it's only a result of ignorance. But apart from that, people are my major interest in life!

PHILOSOPHY

I would like it if people would just let go a bit, of the things that hold them back from being the happiest they could be. I would also like to be able to follow my own advice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Ideally I'd like my couch-surfing experience to be as 2-way an exchange as possible - whatever I can do to help or contribute, be it making dinner, walking the dog, buying breakfast or hoovering the apartment, please let me!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I signed up a couple of years ago when travelling but never got round to actually requesting anywhere... But I did Help-Exchange a lot, which is like couch surfing but with lots of gardening, and more farms.

Interests

Broad and varied. Depending on the angle, it sometimes look like I have the makings of a 1950s housewife... Perish the thought.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies... I really can watch anything, from the award winners to the made-for TV varieties... Although if I ever have to sit through "William and Kate - The Movie" again, I may take my own life.

Music... anything with a melody. I love a broad variety and go through phases. A particular fan of the Eurovision song contest, which for those of you who don't know, is the most incredible annual event to have ever been conceived. Hands Down.

Books... Dawkins, popular science or pretty much any fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many things... I jumped off the Auckland harbour bridge which was TERRIFYING..!

Teach, Learn, Share

The thing I most love to learn about are other people's experiences, be they acquired whilst travelling or just through living.

To teach and share... I can teach random crafts and DIY projects (from dressmaking to bookshelves), and love to discuss feminism and queer theory - things that blow my mind as I continue to learn about them...

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, New Zealand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
