To finally get off my butt and go see the world

ABOUT ME

I've recently made a decision, and set myself a goal of the end of 2014 to have quit my job and left the country...*drum roll*... indefinitely! I expect to take off around November and travel for as long and as far and as wide as I can, until my cash runs out and I have to start being a grown up again.

I think travelling alone is going to be the making of me, and I'm excited to share the experience with as many new friends as I can. I hope to couchsurf as much as I can, and my only regret is that I didn't discover this community soon enough to be able to host before becoming a visitor. Of course as soon as I DO need to get responsible and re-employed, wherever in the world that happens to be, I look forward to hosting as many of you lovely people as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

I've always lived with my life with goals, structure, direction and discipline. However I'm now wanting to peel away some of those layers and see what's left. Who am I, when I'm completely out of my comfort zone?

At this point (January 2014) I am a complete couchsurfing novice, but that will all change soon...

Interests

Gosh, everything. Fitness and nutrition are big parts of my life, particularly weight training and hiking. I love to travel (duh), read, eat, drink, be with friends but I am a natural introvert and recharge my batteries alone.

Teach, Learn, Share

I need to learn how to chill out. Let my life just 'be' without questioning and doubting. What can I teach you? I don't know that I know that yet, but I'll never take your hospitality for granted.
