My current mission, right now, is to meet with some good, fun folks and enjoy Ireland!

ABOUT ME

Uh, welllll I was born in Canada and I enjoy the northern woodlands of Ontario cause they're damn beautiful. Right now I live in Dublin, Ireland but I'm leaving soon!! I studied drama for four years and have been in some plays and such. I like writing, and I have been riding and working with horses my whole life.. I also have spent a lot of time working and volunteering for Greenpeace in Canada. I read a lot. I also just love hanging out with people and cooking and talking and drinking and making merriment and a dance party is always a good time as well. People who you can laugh with to the point where your abs hurt - those are the people I like.

PHILOSOPHY

This can be kind of touchy for some. My personal philosophies, thus far, have been fundamentally changed since reading works by certain authors (in particular Derrick Jensen.) I feel that as a culture, we've been exploiting people and the natural world for far too long and it needs to stop, because eventually we're going to destroy the planet. The things western civilization value seem to be based on hatred of the natural world and of ourselves, there is a lot of unhappiness and violence in our world.. we need to remember what is actually important, which is respect of self and all other beings, including humans and non humans. Joy and awe of the natural ways of the earth, and friendship and community and bonding.

Basically, we need to get back to our roots. People shouldn't hold back with experience, and never be afraid to fight for what you believe in - there is so much people can do about setting things they aren't okay with right. Also, all experience teaches you something important each time.. pay attention to your instincts.

I love Lord of the Rings, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, American History X, Juno.
In terms of music I'm all over the place, I love The Tragically Hip, Flight of the Conchords, Patrick Watson, Queen, Kings of Leon, Devendra Banhart, Jeff Buckley, Otis Redding, The Beatles, Sublime, Old Man Luedecke, Bon Iver, Cat Power, Afro man, Michael Jackson etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think all my experiences of riding on horseback are pretty amazing, there isn't a feeling quite like galloping through four feet of snow in the winter, or roaming around fields with just you and a horse or pony.
