My current mission is to explore and adventure as much as possible before I start my career because time is precious and you are only young once

ABOUT ME

Having just finished university I am new to couchsurfing and extended travelling since I have spent every summer running my landscaping company. I am taking the next 8 months off from school and work and am doing a trip across the entirety of the US before ending up in Whistler to spend the winter snowboarding and working as an internal auditor (its not as bad as it sounds!)

I love to be active and outdoors. I love to do all sorts of outdoor activities including hiking, camping, bumming around at the beach, waterskiing, wakeboarding, ice clibming, snowboarding, playing hockey outside in the winter (did I mention I am Canadian haha) and many more activities. While on my current trip, I am also planning to work on my rock climbing skills and also learn how to surf. I am always looking for something new to try and always looking for a new adventure.

I also love music (especially country music. I play the fiddle, guitar, mandolin and also a little piano. We did not have room to bring any of our larger instruments on this trip but we may try to pick up a ukulele or something to at least give us something to play around the campfire at night.

Having spent 4 years at University in Canada where the drinking age is only 19, I have also developed an aptitude for partying. Feel free to challenge me in flip cup or beer pong but be prepared to lose.

I also love to meet people and this aspect of couch surfing is definitely what I am most excited about! Not only does couch surfing allow you to travel and see the world but it also allows you to meet cool new people from different cultures and backgrounds all along the way.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am planning to participate by staying with and meeting some people on my current road trip to find out what couch surfing is all about. Once I am finished travelling, I plan to open my own couch to visitors and am excited about all the people who I can meet through couch surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While travelling through the United States I stopped to couch surf in Tallahassee Florida and had and amazing time learning about vegan food and life in Tallahassee. I have also had wonderful experiences surfing in Ecuador and Peru.

Interests

Travelling, outdoor activities, hiking, snowboarding, waterskiing, wakeboarding, hockey, baseball, rugby, ice climbing, camping, pingpong, music, food, beer and many more! I am always looking to try something new so this list could go on forever!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love country music the most but also enjoy listening to all kinds of other music. I love going to a bar where there is a live band playing and I also love to go out partying somewhere with a good DJ.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Although it is not particularly epic, one of my favourite sights/sounds in the whole world is hearing/seeing a loon over a lake in Canada.

Teach, Learn, Share

The two biggest things that I want to learn right now are how to surf (both couch surf and normal surfing lol) and how to rock climb in an outdoor setting - I plan to do both of those on my trip. If anybody wants to learn how to tape a hockey stick... I am your man haha
