Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I'm traveling, it's to meet local people in order to discover the country I'm visiting in the most authentic way. I find it much more rewarding than staying in a hotel.
When hosting people, it's to make them discover the French riviera and its hidden places :), make them taste my favorite local foods and go with my friends to local pubs. In a summary, integrate them in my life to show France in a authentic way

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I just had to chose one, it would probably be the rallye I did in the Morrocco desert in 2008 with my best friend. We left for a 2 weeks rallye with a very old car that was not prepared at all. We broke the car after the 2nd stage and passed the rest of the 2 weeks trying to repair the car in a lot of different littles garages in Morocco, meeting with locals, eating with them etc...I remember driving this car in the night in the middle of nowhere in a stand position with my head going above the roof and wearing ski goggle to avoid having mosquitos in my eyes, as fumes were coming back in the car and it was impossible to breathe. Finally we could finish the rallye and bring home the car. I've never been so exhausted than after these 2 weeks, and tought I will give up many times, but the fact that we managed to bring the car back in France was a delightful success :)
