My opportunities to travel are reduced of late. In my time I have circled our beautiful and interesting world twice. Visited 44 countries and worked in 8 countries. I am in love - with life. Every part of life is an opportunity to give, share and receive something special. And let's be honest, everyone makes it special and everyone is special. I am single, 73, retired and living quite comfortably alone in my very simple cottage. I welcome you into my home, be my temporary house guest as you journey. Let me give you what was so often given to me.
And journeys never really end. A few weeks ago I completed a journey I began when I was 18. Without intent, I completed my road journey around Australia. And now I'm going away again. This time to the Philippines; see you there soon.

Что привело меня на Couchsurfing

I first couch surfed the Baltic States in 1991 (I think). That introduced me to a way of connecting with locals I never expected or had enjoyed previously. Couch surfing is staying with like-minded people who want the world and me to enter their home and share experiences, stories and their life. Excellent way to see the places not listed in guide books, eat meals at a friend's wedding, drink beer from a bucket and generally become a defacto friend to a group.
