ABOUT ME

I am an architect and art lover. Born in South-Africa raised and educated in Holland. Finished studying in january. Spending some time to discover the world and making plans for the future. Busy trying to set up my own design office and working on an art related project for a township in Cape Town.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive for honesty, integrity and devotion in everything I do. A simmilar approach towards people as towards work. Very bad at compromizing.

Euh... Just signed up on this website. No experiences with couch surfing yet, but hopefully this will change soon.

Interests

Anything art of design related: Architecture, art, interior design and antiques. Otherwise I like painting, listening music (and singing when no one's listening), I enjoy being outside, personal origami in a yoga clas, and I almost forgot my favourite hobby visiting second hand stores hunting for hidden treasures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: (Usually can't concentrate long enough to sit through a movie).... Psycho
Music: Scarlatti, Dvorak, Mozart, Debussy... Nina Simone, Dinah Washington, Miriam Makeba and the list goes on and on.
Books: The prophet by Kahlil Gibran, Louis Couperus (Dutch writer)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing things?.... I guess my holiday to South Africa earlier this year was really awesome. It enabled me to understand my background and myself a bit better.
But I can also be amazed by small things in life.

Teach, Learn, Share

What you could learn from me? Not a clue, haha. I am educated as an architect and have a great interest in design and especially the phenomenon 'beauty'. (What is it? How do we succeed to create it?) I have got some background knowledge on design and art, which I would love to share with you.
Otherwise I'm a spiritual human being. So a discussion about life is always an option. :)
