I am looking forward to meeting people along this journey. For years, I have welcomed strangers into my home and forged friendships for life. I'm genuinely interested in different perspectives, experiences, etc. I have several of my own to share...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first foray into couchsurfing.com, but have served as a host for several years in Chicago. My friends are promoters in the music business, so for years I've put up several musicians, artists, friends, and friends of friends.

I hope my good will in the real world carries over to this virtual forum.

I have friends who swear by this forum and who have hosted with great experiences.

Interests

I can talk to anyone about something. I've traveled for work for years, lived in several cool cities (Chicago, San Antonio, Austin and New Orleans & Denver, kind of) visited countless others. I can talk to anyone about something. Conversation and getting other people's perspectives is among my favorite hobbies.

Kubrick, PT Anderson, Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, Jim Jarmusch, Ken Burns to name a few. Music...all genres...all over it. Books...for the last year or so it's been Hemmingway, Erick Larson and Zeitoun.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just completed a one month, solo road trip from Chicago to Los Angeles on my way to moving to the Big Island. Went through Denver, Wyoming (Yellowstone, Jackson, other spots), Montana (Bozeman, Glacier National Park, other spots), Idaho, Washington, Portland, Eureka, Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, Bay Area, and Los Angeles. Ended up in Kona on May 31. EPIC.
