Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I signed in on Couchsurfing after a friend experience on the website in Taiwan. He has surfed a lot already and everything went really well for him. When he was telling his trip, I found the surfing part brilliant in the process of sharing the travel experience with welcoming local people eager to meet backpackers like me and support them during their trip.
I also liked the idea of welcoming people myself, and offer a couch for those needing one during their trips.

So I asked myself, why not try? If it's as nice as it looks on paper, or sounds in stories, I want to experience it too !

Centres d'intérêt

FIrst, I would say that I like to discover, to learn, to sightsee, live intense memories and sometime immortalize them in pictures. I'm very curious by nature. I always appreciate to meet new people, because I like to tell, discuss and listen to stories.
I like art, and I draw a lot during my free time.

I also like to cook, to read, to walk, run, hike, and practice sport in general.
I have been an enthusiastic rugby player and mountain biker but I've also practiced a lot of other sports, with raquet, sword, ski, skate, and I currently learn Thailandese boxing in Philippines.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

My music tastes varies a lot between Rap, Hip hop and R&B to Electro/House, going through Rock, Reggae, Jazz and even some classical.

My favorite movies are Fight Club, Mr Nobody, Inception, Star Wars, The Lord of the Ring, The Jason Bourne trilogy, James Bond, Sherlock Holmes.

In term of readings, I like thrillers like Harlan Coben's, and sci-fi/fantasy books

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One of the most amazing things I have done was during the two month I spend in the United States. I stayed with a family during a few weeks, and their oldest son was graduating from high school at the end of the year, so he had to select in which university he wanted to postulate.

In order to do this choice properly, they chose to make a road trip of all the East coast visiting the main Universities of the country : Yale, the MIT, UPen, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins.

They offered me to join them, ending the trip on the Niagara's falls. Just amazingly impressive.

What I can share with hosts is a good meal. I like to cook, and to learn recipes.
We'll share experiences, stories and anecdotes, and maybe a beer if we feel like it!

I like to share my tastes, in music, cooking, watching and reading, and discuss about it, learning from others' points of view and preferences.
