Hello World!

I am Georg, but you can call me George :-)
I'm from Hamburg, Germany, and live in a small, comfortable appartment in a mostly quiet district of the city's east, and about 20 minutes away from downtown. A subway station is 5 minutes nearby, so you reach almost every destination in the city easily.
Having spent some time of my childhood in Russia, I grew up in Bavaria in Germany. Today I work as an online tutor for the languages German & Russian. As such I usually work with adults, but teaching kids, is actually more fun, I have to admit :-D
I'm interested in art, although it's been quite a time since I've been to a museum or drawn or painted something, a hobby of mine that somehow got lost over the past 10 years. Hopefully I will be able to reclaim it one day.
Basically I am a relaxed person, who likes to explore new stuff and to acquire knowledge on new scientific discoveries. I stopped carrying about difficulties in life some time ago, simply because I can adopt to any sort of cirumstaces, at least from my experience.
I'm not perfect, but anyway, most important to me is that I try to persue a healthy way of life, both mentally and physically. Plus I'd like to thing of me being quite a cook :-P

So far in my life I wasn't able to travel a lot, but I always wanted to see the world, see places I only know from books and documentaries, getting to know people from every part of our planet earth. Therefore I looked up several backpack travelling pages, but I think couchsurfing is one of the most famous and trustworthy ones.
